1966 Chevy Belair I bought as a project a few years ago, but now that is is running and driving I am ready to move on to another project

Was originally a 283 with a powerglide, it is now a 350 HEI with a Muncie M-20. Car spent most of it's life in Nevada and has clean and solid floors and frame. Frame was painted with Rust Bullet and interior with POR15. Suspension and body bushings are now polyurethane. It has a new quick ratio power steering box, along with new balljoints and steering linkage. The drivehaft was replaced with a sturdier custom piece. All the glass is intact and installed, including a new windshield. It has a new radiator, heater core, 100amp alternator, waterpump, demon carb and the engine was bought recently from a rebuilder. The wheels are 17x8 with 255s in from and 17x9 in back with 275s, original 15x7 rallys come with. All transmission parts to convert it to a 4 speed are new, with 11" clutch and bellhousing, factory style linkage and pedals. It has 2005 Cadillac CTS-V seats in front and an original bench for the back. The body is decent, it has some old body repairs and a few dents and some rust in the rear lower quarter panels. I also have all the window trim, bumpers, inner fenders and etc to go with. I can send more pictures or details if needed. It runs, drives, stops great, but I am looking for a rallycross project so it is time to move on. Car is in Carver, MN

this car touches a soft spot in my memory bank.  in 1983 i took my drivers test in a '66 caprice "sport coupe", 396/325hp, M20 (yes, a factory 4-speed Caprice!), in-dash tach, console with gauge package, manual everything, no air conditioning.   very nice to see another '66 full-size, and nice to see the update to dual-circuit brake system.    looks like it was a labor of love.

When I bought it, the owner had redone the manual drums brakes, that promptly went in the trash after the first test drive around the neighborhood. I originally bought it wanting to do a 60s Nascar clone with it, but now that I have been driving it around, I am having second thoughts about hacking up the nice floor and starting to get the itch for some track time. As glorious as swinging a fullsize 60s car around a rallycross track would be, I think for all the effort I have into this, I should have probably focused on something that is maybe a bit more........ nimble

I just watched the Pike’s Peak episode of Roadkill yesterday and was surprised at how much I liked the ‘67 Biscayne. I was shocked when they dropped off back off at the junkyard.  I thought the car was a keeper for sure.

This is that car, only better. This should be a great car for someone.

Oh man, that's a cool car. If I didn't already have the truck (1970 Ford F250) I would jump on this thing. But a third not-gonna-drive-it-in-winter car would be a bad idea.

If you were closer and I had anything to trade that would interest you, this would be my new DD. Loud exhaust, flat black paint, smokey burnouts and scaring woman and children. Sound like a perfect daily driver.

GLWS. That’s a damn cool ride.

Damn I want that and I have no storage.

Paint it battleship gray and keep the hood truck and rood flat black and some interior niceness and I could drive it every day.

Me too. When I was 16 my best friend had one. He bought it at 15, swapped a 283 and 4 spd in with duals (and glasspacks), chrome reverse rims and painted it gold. It was a killer machine for a pair of 16 year olds to ride around in. Two years later I bought a 65.
