Buy my wagon.
Buy my wagon.
I’m a long time wagon nut! I’m sure I can’t afford it, but what are you hoping to get out of it. I see the reserve is not met yet, but do you have a “buy it now” thought?

"Reserve not met"...

Yeah but David's cool and he wants to see this thing go on a huge exciting roadtrip so I'm sure he'll make an exception for me.... right?
I just showed this to my wife and asked how long I'd be sleeping on the couch if I bid. I was told I wouldn't even be sleeping on the cold garage floor. I'd be sleeping in my abandoned Volvo in a parking lot 10 miles from here. Permanently. I guess I won't be the buyer.
Good luck with the sale.
In reply to Adrian_Thompson (Forum Supporter) :
But if you are the winning bidder you could sleep on the long flat floor of the Catalina!

Technically y'all married so half of everything you buy at that point is hers. Approach it as a gift for her too.
LOOK WHAT I BOUGHT US!
The wagon holds an 8x10 sheet of plywood, so there's plenty of room.
Let's say that the reserve is fair. If I can't meet reserve, then I'll just keep it.
My wife likes the red interior but not the car. GLWS. It should sell since they (wagons) are quite popular these days.
In the pre-Armor-All days, we used Liquid Gold.
Forgot the seatbelt once and found myself looking at the pedals in the first left hander!
wonder how that would look lifted with a stick & 4X4 .....
Good luck David. I'm still schmoozing the guy with the abandoned 911sc so I can't. :- (

"8x10 sheet of plywood"........that would be the biggest wagon I've ever seen.
Cool car. I've always liked that generation of Pontiacs, I had a '71 Catalina as a daily driver for a number of years.
Friend of mine owned the Olds equivalent ('74 Custom Cruiser) in HS. We fit 13 (skinny teenaged) people in it comfortably once....probably could have done more, but we only had 13 friends.

I'm not surprised at the $6k but I'm surprised at $6k in the first day of a 7 day auction.
This signals that we could have many days of slow further price increases, or, we could see a big final price.
In reply to jstein77 :
Honestly, didn't really know what it would/will bring. So we'll see what happens. I hate to see it go, but just don't have the physical space and brain space for everything.

Owning a bunch of cars sounds like fun, until you do.
At least basses & guitars can sit in their cases for a year or more without needing much more than fresh strings & maybe some slight adjustment. Even bicycles rarely need more than airing up the tires & still take up way less room than even a Mini.
In reply to Pete Gossett (Forum Supporter) :
That is all true. And we had a Mini. It does take up less space.

Still at $6k with 4 hours to go. Let's hope for a big final minutes rally!
