NMNA - - $850. Located in Connecticut.
My aunt and uncle bought a brand new Volare Premier wagon in Connecticut in 1976(?). I swear that all the sheet metal surrounding the gas cap was gone by 1979. I can't imagine how this car has survived.
DoNotWant.
Super Six is a factory two barrel intake setup instead of the single barrel. Something like 10 HP added by this vs. the single. Also a slightly larger exhaust pipe setup. Some of the cars had aluminum intakes that had weld and/or porrosity issues causing vacuum leaks.
If you can get the rest of the car into shape, the above means nothing, and an Offy intake and some other carb like a Weber 32/36 or a GM TBI swap would be much more worth the effort.
Oh yeah, a drivetrain swap would be nice, but if someone wanted to keep the /6, then there's other things beside the factory stuff to use.
My parents bought a 77 Dodge Aspen new. It moved us across the country twice and both my sister and I learned how to drive in it. Ours had the 318 that had a little work done to it when rebuilt by a friend of my dad's. I loved that car. It met it's demise on a rainy night when my sister lost the road and played pinball through some trees in 1992-1993. She, thankfully, was uninjured.
Price is now down to $750. Heart and nostalgia say "Want!!" but head and lack of room are fortunately in control.
