I am selling my rabbit project that I have owned for 20 years. That seems crazy writing that. What originally started off as a father son project turned into something I would get to, someday. It made several moves to where it is now, mostly clouding my adult brain with something that I feel anchors me to the past but also holds me back from getting things done in the present. As projects and responsibilities pile up around me, it becomes more and more apparent I need to make a decision. I sadly don't have the space, physical and mental, to hold onto it anymore. It has to go, along with the rest of my mk1 vw things. Ha, thanks for suffering through that.
I will get better photos of the chassis soon. All I have now is the one with the outboard on its side in front of it. 1984 Westmoreland chassis. I removed the core planning to go to round headlights, and welded over the USA gti square turn fender notch but never finished them. I started to try and sand the car surface down, has DA marks all over the pain. The harness is all there but was planning a engine swap.
If you are local, I have the means to pull it to you.
1 clean mk1 gti chassis, this is where most of the value is. With clean title.
Various hoods and body pieces acquired over the years
Late mfg date cabriolet shell, most of the big parts off it, still very rust free.
mk2 manual rack and hubs
Nice set of gti snowflakes
No engines or transmissions, well the one out of the cabriolet is still there but was told both were shot and I couldn't spin with a wrench.
All interior pieces and two sets of cabriolet German dashboards
A few clean grills (one square gti grill is gone)
cheap coilovers
cabriolet seats
clipper kit
old torn up rabbit gti seats except the rear (that is almost always mint because no one ever sat in them.)
Various fasteners and hardware.
