Hello GRM'ers !
Posting this on behalf of my dear sister. This was her first car and though she has long since moved on, she's hoping it might find a second/third life and avoid the junkyard/crusher.
*1986 VW Quantum Wagon, 5 speed with the Audi 2.2l 5 cylinder. Unfortunately not a Syncro car.
94k miles. Hasn't been driven regularly since 2019, though it was a running, driving car prior to that. Has been parked in a friend's garage since then (mainly posting this to save my friend their garage space).
Unsure of if it would turn over with a new battery. Tires are low but seem to hold air/aren't flat.
Doesn't seem to have any serious fluid leaks or major rust on the undercarriage from my brief peek at it. I'm assuming from the Prestone in the back that it may need some hoses checked though.
Myriad small issues with the car. Driver's door latch/lock doesn't work. Passenger window is off track, etc.
My estimation is this car would need a lot of going over to get it back in daily driving condition, maybe a little less so if you intend to use it as a derby car.
Title is PA clean though sister has it with her and is currently in Boston so I likely won't have it in-hand in the immediate future.

Price? No idea... We'll start at $500 I suppose but extremely flexible if you have the willingness to show up with a trailer and haul it off. Additional discounts available if you promise to send me pics of it being rallyed somewhere in a few months.
