1988 Porsche 944 Turbo S – Silver Rose edition

1 of ~339 Silver Rose cars brought to the US

I bought this car ~3 years ago. It was being used as a track car by the previous owner. The engine let go during his last time out so he decided to send it out to Lindsey Racing for a complete rebuild ($10,895 - receipts in pictures). Once he had the engine back, he had it placed in the car but not re-installed. I bought it as a complete car but non-running.

At that point, I spent $7k with my local indie Porsche shop to install the engine as well as go through the car top to bottom. In addition to getting the car back to running condition, the replaced several items, as listed below.

Once the car was fully sorted, the shop put it on the dyno and tuned it. Running just the wastegate spring (1 bar, ~15 lbs of boost), it made 295 rwhp and 329 lbft of torque.

Reinstall included:

Intake manifold gaskets

Bosch distributor rotor & Bosch cap

Porsche throttle housing hose

Porsche gaskets

Porsche expansion tank

CSF aluminum radiator

Interstate battery

Bosch electric fuel pump

Saw your ad on FB, didn't know it was yours!  That engine should make far north of what it's doing on wastegate pressure.  With that crank isn't it a 2.8 liter now?  Still on the stock suspension/brakes?   I assume when the engine was done all new timing belt/water pump/clutch?

Yes, we believe the motor is good for another 100hp/100 lbft on more boost. Not sure what the engine would be called at this point. Brakes/suspension are upgraded as noted above. And yes, those items were done.

Beautiful car.  I like that UNIMOG in the background too.  Good luck with the sale.
