1989 CRX shell with WRL approved race-ready cage and parts. We campaigned a 1988 CRX Si in WRL back when they had a GP4 class. The rear suspension weld broke and we spun and got tagged by a miata, ending our season. We took all the parts off and found a 1989 shell, but never got the chance to completely reassemble. WRL approved cage was not damaged in the wreck so was moved to the new shell.

Shell has new front hubs and new energy suspension bushings where assembled, but the rest (transmission etc) are included to complete the build. Upgraded rear bar included but not completely assembled. All body panels are straight and painted GM Arctic White. Paint job is Macco-quality, if the painter had 3 beers before doing the job. It’s a race car, not a show car; throw a sticker over the few imperfections (slight bubbling in a couple spots). Rear bumper and hatch are still blue (don’t ask). Bridgestone RE11s are mounted on Kosei Racing wheels, but they’re old so don’t try to race with them.

Optional extras: The Si engine is completely stock with 120k street miles and three races on the engine after refresh. Stock 89 wiring harness is unmodified. Comes with 88 and 89 PCM/ECMs (both stock programming). Two spare transmissions, one is swap-ready while the other grinds terribly in 3rd while 4th is starting to grind a little. Probably just the syncros but we haven’t inspected. Brand new header and heat wrap. Race gauges, but we did use the OEM Speedo and RPM unit. Spare head and clutch. Too many parts to list…

3.2L Acura engine with 150k street miles with a blown head gasket.

If you have questions, please ask, as I can inspect and report back with pictures of specific items. I really hate to part everything out, but will work with you if you don’t want one or both of the engines etc. Local Pickup in Frisco TX
