I don't know about "rode hard" but it sure looks "put away wet"
I remember these when they first came out. A lot of people said that it looked ugly, and the designer strongly defended the design as being there for entirely functional reasons, and from what I recall, it did perform very well on-track. Still, arguing with potential customers about (very subjective) looks probably isn't going to end well.

I remember when mosler shut down or moved and they were blowing out a few basically new ones for cheap. Like $20k. Should've taken my chances on one. Yeah they're not pretty but they're an engineering triumph tip to tail.

I don't follow prices on these but the moment I saw the headline, I thought to myself, "I'm surprised those go for more than $30 or $35,000." I guess I was about right. This one certainly looks tired.
