If I'm selling the race car, there is no need to keep the car carrier, I suppose. This one technically belongs to my dad, but he asked me to list it for sale. It's a 1993 Chevrolet P30.
It's got a gasoline, fuel injected Chevy 350 with a four-speed automatic transmission. We outfitted it with 2 x 12 wooden platforms to hold the car above the wheel wells. Tie downs are super sturdy U-Bolts run through the frame. There are four tie-downs in the rear, and two up front. We also bought a Harbor Freight 5,000 pound winch (with power forward and reverse) and mounted that inside the cabin directly to the frame as well. We use the winch to pull the car inside the truck and roll it out safely.
The Miata fits nicely. There's extra room with the it in there, but I'm not sure something like a C5-and-later Corvette would fit. Best we can figure is that there's about 3,000 pounds of payload capacity left over after the installation of the platforms.
You can use it as a bedroom or a dance club when you're at the track an the car is sitting outside in the paddock. Also, the current residents, a whole bunch of wasps, will be evicted prior to purchase.
