Back in the middle 80's, I worked for Budget rent a car. We rented Alliances and Encores. Crap cars. When we picked them up from the dealer, one of the Encores made it a couple miles and was driven back by a coworker because it was making a racket. No oil in the engine. Needless to say, we didn't get many rentals from that car...
That's three more Alliances than I thought were in existence today.
