SWMBO's folks are looking for a dependable car, anything needed to pass MD inspection? I'm also fairly ignorant of the Northstar V8, does it need a little extra attention with regard to coolant changes and oil levels or were they fairly reliable towards the end of their production run?

I don't know much about the longevity of these motors but driving it feels fine, motor & transmission feel smooth. She has had to add about a quart of oil between oil changes due to it burning off. I don't know if MD inspections are as strict as MA or NH but there's nothing that should cause a rejection sticker. Brake rotors are slightly warped, that's about it.
