2004 Nissan Titan SE King cab
2WD
Max Tow package
153k miles
mods: air bags on rear axle for towing and prodigy trailer brake controller. Upgraded front brakes to larger 2008+ Titan rotors, pads, calipers.
The good:
rust free southern truck
Clean overall inside and out - a few scratches and scrapes, but pretty nice for this age and miles
AC works great
Tires have plenty of life left
The bad:
One incident that sullied it's Carfax history - in 2012 at 85k miles. It was hit while parked. Drunk driver hit the trailer hitch ball at a good rate of speed and pushed the truck over into the car next to it. Truck was drivable - was at a race weekend and I towed home 4 hours no issues. But frame was tweaked and had to be straightened, needed new bumper, and outer skin on drivers side of bed was replaced - insurance fixed it.
In dash CD changer no longer works. Have been using my phone with the aux input for years, so just recently remembered the CD doesn't function.
The odometer LED's are flaky - they often don't light one row of segments, so you can't easily tell the exact numbers. But usually if driven more than 30 minutes or so, all the segments will light up as normal.
So it does not have a salvage title, right?
What’s the gas mileage?
In reply to spitfirebill :
No salvage title, On the Carfax history it shows "Accident reported: moderate damage". Also shows odometer inconsistency, which I am certain is due to the odo LED's not being lit when my mechanic entered the last repair or service. He guessed at the number and it was lower than previous mileage.
Gas mileage is not great. I get about 14 in city commuting and 17-18 on the highway. But the v8 is nice, sounds good and revs out nicely.
Happy to answer any other questions or provide more pics - just let me know.

Oh man, great truck! GLWTS.
Dang. That's pretty close to what I'm after, and a good price. Hell of a drive though.
Have you ever had any problems with the diff or rear wheel bearings?
In reply to psteav :
I haven't had any problems with the diff or bearings on mine.
I remember reading about early diff failures, and I changed the gear oil shortly after purchase because there was some speculation about "break in" oil being the culprit. No idea if that was the issue, but it was cheap and easy to change it, so I did.
I listed truck on Craigslist this morning, sold, cash in hand 4 hours later.
Gotta say was prepared for the whole thing to be way more painful and time consuming.
Got lucky -buyer looking specifically for a Nissan who just lost out on another one, had already got cash from their bank.
Glad to hear it too. I was interested in it, but the stories about the differentials scared me.
