Some friends and I bought this car last fall to use as a rallycross beater, but recently we came across a deal we couldn't pass up on another vehicle so it's time for this one to find a new home. In its current condition we'd take $6k for it, if nobody here wants it we'll be fixing some of its (relatively minor) issues and listing it to the general public for a higher price...so help save us from having to deal with fb marketplace buyers! Located in central Ohio, can probably help with delivery within a reasonable distance.

-Overall condition:

As far as I know the car is totally stock other than some mishimoto intake boots (which honestly look like they've seen better days and could be replaced). Everything seems to be in decent shape, car runs and drives fine. I'm sure it could use a suspension refresh just from age but it doesn't have any specific ride/handling issues.

Also as far as I know the car has lived in the midwest its whole life. But given that fact, it's surprisingly low on rust. There's a small hole in each of the rear fenders (don't they leave the factory like that?) but that's about it for body rust - the rockers are all there, jack points are structurally sound, etc. The chassis and suspension have a fair amount of surface rust but nothing structural, all the hardware at least visibly still has threads, and the few bolts we've touched didn't give us any trouble. The exhaust has definitely seen better days but that's pretty standard. All in all I think it's about as clean as you can expect from a midwest car.

The interior is surprisingly nice, honestly basically pristine other than some light wear on the steering wheel. I forget if the A/C works, but everything else does - heat, radio, cruise control, power windows, etc.

When we got it the windshield had a giant crack in it, so it now has a brand new windshield. Overall the exterior is in pretty good shape for a car of its age and mileage (see below). As an added bonus, it has a trailer hitch for all your trailering or bike carrying needs.

-Known issues:

It's a 20 year old turbo subaru, of course the check engine light is on. Last I checked the only active code was for an 02 heater circuit

Seems like it was lightly run into a stump or something, the lower center of the front bumper is a bit broken, the grill insert is missing, and the radiator support is a bit bent up (doesn't seem to have impacted the radiator or caused any structural issues). Also there's a spot on the hood where the clear coat has failed (somewhat visible in the photo below).

There's a small to medium sized exhaust leak somewhere in the vicinity of the downstream catalytic converter.

Both front axles have a torn CV boot, the joints themselves seem to still be in decent condition, no noises or looseness yet. Axles are cheap ($50 each) so we planned to just run them until one gave signs of failing.

-Photos, this is all I have at the moment, I can get better photos for anyone interested.

Bringing this back up, we're getting interested in selling again if anyone is interested. Basically unchanged from the original post, it's survived a couple of rallycrosses and an autocross with no issues. Could probably use a new set of bump stops but it drives well and works surprisingly well on dirt. Starts fine every time and seems to run well, seems totally unphased by rallycross, doesn't even run hot which is a first for us. Body corner rust has gotten a tiny bit worse but the chassis is still totally solid with nothing more than some surface rust. If you don't need a/c (or don't mind fixing it) this could totally be a kind of nice cheap fun daily driver.
