Hey guys,

My brother is selling his 328i because his new job allows him to commute far less and he doesn't need it anymore. It's been crazy solid for him and honestly he just wants to see it go to someone who will really care about the car. Also, someone please buy it so I don't end up buying it off him.

He's got some photos with his nice BMW parked next to some interesting cars. Of those I find the M30 convertible the most interesting.

That's his neighbor's! I love that car, can't remember the last time I had seen one. The other interesting cars (944, Miata, 900 SPG, 74 Toyota Hilux, e46, and Saab 9-5) have been his and mine throughout the years of ownership of the BMW.

Whats the story with the 944? I recently bought a black one from the same area, wonder if its the same car.

It was a 1985.5 black repainted car with some front end damage he didn't notice when he bought it. Broken odometer, phone dial wheels, pretty standard aside from the trouble underneath according to him. The guy he sold it to test drove it and while the car was idling the power steering rack just up and blew, that much I remember. He sold it about 2 years ago if memory serves.

That all sounds very accurate. Though I got it less than a year ago, and the rack was already done, didnt blow on me. Now I have to go outside and check for front end damage that I might have missed.

Do you have any pictures of it? My brother said he could likely identify it, and I could send him a link to the thread.

Very generic 944, repainted black, odo (working) says 134k, title says 200k, had a blown power steering hose held together with hose clamps and a copper pipe, broken drivers door, janky cone air filter, lots of things held together with tape and glue that needed to be fixed. What kind of trouble underneath should I be checking for?

I can check things out when I get home if he remembers anything distinctive.

I have its VIN actually, so that would be an easy way to ID them haha. I don't think I have enough posts yet though to send a DM.

I guess black repainted, broken odo, leaky steering 944s in south Jersey are rather common then. At least I dont have to worry about that front end damage.
