What's it take to [semi-]reliably track a nearly 25 year old Boxster?

To track anything reliably costs a lot, Porsche just adds to it..

I'd say be prepared to swap an engine just in case.  I just sold the 2.7L out of my crushed Boxster. The new shell I purchased I was originally going to put a 4.2L V8 in, VW/Audi/Porsche parts crossover the engine bolts right to the 5 speed manual (essentially a front drive Passat transmission) but now I'm going with a VW 1.8t to start. It's been done more and I can get it done quicker.

All the other stuff is on par for a German car I'd say.

I sent to my brother who could be in the mood. To track you'd also need a roll bar of course. I'm local if anyone needs eyes on it.
