Mild rust, but nothing horrible from what the pics show.

Cool car, big fan of the platform and wagons.

As the ad states, first year panther. I drove a sedan from 1986-2000, so I'm very familiar with them.

I don't think that the 351 was an option in 79, even in the fleet cars. They had a 140 HP 302 with a variable venturi carb, and a C4 three speed automatic. Trying to eke mileage out of it led to the use of a 2.26:1 rear end.

For 1980, they got a 255 v8 with the AOD, 2.73 gears.

The 351 retained the carb even after the 302 (back again for 83) went to port fuel injection in 86.

Had a 77 quadra port. Absolute pig of a car. I don't think even a wagon could fix it.

What's up with all the P3PPY nostalgia in the For Sale forum today?? This was my family's car for YEARS. Dad would drive home tons of kids from Wednesday night youth group and they'd all write their names in the headliner foam
