I came across this in my local FB which says the car is in Toledo, OH but all the pictures are from Mexico.  Could be real, could be fake but either way it is good eye candy.  Not only for the car but the hooptie of a Mexican hauler.

I would envision sliding some Jeep/Eagle stuff underneath and some big rubber for some kind of offroad beast.

Or, stuff an LS engine (or Jeep 403) and make some crazy drag passes.

Maybe it started life as an Eagle SX-4.

A little history on VAM in Mexico.

They even made a funky 4 door Spirit called the Lerma that doesn't look horrible from this angle.  (but only this exact angle)

As for the car in the original post, it is easily worth $2K if the body isn't all hacked up or bondo.  (a kinda big if)
Clean, rust-free Gremlin bodies are getting hard to find, due to rust and derbiers.
