Nope. Me and Gravity have reached an agreement.
doesn't that onw show up to OSH on floats? I wonder if I still have pictures of that?
edit: not my photo, but looks like my memory is right:
That seems like a reasonably priced way to get something cool written in the cause of death box on your death certificate.
He's gonna need a bigger lake.
Thanks for the link to another pit...
This was on the Barnstormers site: https://www.boschungglobal.com/Inventory/Warbirds/Messerschmitt/ME-109-G/G-AWHR-(EX-N4109G)
I wonder what "Priced to Sell" means with regards to one of the last flying Messerschmitt ME109's available? I would imagine somewhere in the tens of millions...
Cool thing to find out that I can get my RR Merlin rebuilt just a coupla hundred miles from me by Vintage V12's of Tehachapi, CA. Sounds like a field trip is in order...
Guy on Martha's Vineyard selling a Grob 109 motorglider on Barnstormers, asking $8k OBO, bet he'll take $5k. It's got a flat four 85hp air cooled engine. I have a variable pitch prop that fits. Put the engine and electronics in the yellow one, sell off the motorglider bits and get most of your money back.
I would except for the new wagon in my driveway.

Pretty sure that's actually a Hispano. Basically a post war Spanish built 109 with, ironically, a Rolls engine. We have one at the Air Zoo here in Kalamazoo, MI.
We had a full scale fw190 built at the local airport, nearly killed the owner, I think he sold it. I'll have to check it out.
I love that biplane, wonder how much divorcees costs these days ?
In reply to 914Driver :
Do you know the guy with the Grob? Says plane is in MA and owner is in Honk Kong.
In reply to kazoospec :
Both the Hispano and the Avia were turrible planes.
Nope, don't know the guy. It's on Martha's Vineyard which could be a little more difficult to retrieve than say Boston.
I've seen cars for sale on MVineyard where the owners commute to different countries, no worries.
