I wonder if they do any kind of finish work under there at all, or if they just cut stuff away and then drop the stainless tub in there...
Rough cut, weld in 1/2" square tube and drop stainless. At least mine is. There was one like this for sale in Florida last year, no bustle and it was silver. That bustle easily comes off.
That model has no gate, the one I have, the bustle AND the rear trunk thing lifted up, hinged at the front of the bustle. I could barely lift it! Now it's gone and I have an air gate.
I have cleared this with the wife (not that I need to since we're both grown ups). The only deterrent is that I can't get up to CT any time soon.
If anyone is looking to store this car temporarily I can probably help out, I am in the NW corner of CT
