1984 C4 corvette. Runs and drives. Currently registered and driven regularly.
Original seats in good shape. Driver power seat works on 2/3 motors. Passenger window regulator is shot, window is held up via lumber. Radio deck is M.I.A. Speakers seem to be intact but are an unknown. Most of the weatherstripping has had it. Things rattle and the rear glass leaks a bit if you hit it with a hose in the right spot but so far its been ok in the rain. Dash has a couple cracks. The AC doesn't seem to have any freon in it but the whole system is intact. Needs some body work and paint. Has a few small dents and scratches, mostly it seems to be the result of poorly prepped paint work. Seems to have a vacuum leak, CEL indicates low vacuum signal and engine hesitates from idle but runs fine otherwise. The hood release cables are new (dorman) but don't allow the hood to latch properly sometimes. Needs a new brake booster. Tires have good tread but are old and scary. Somebody removed the mufflers so it is a bit loud but the cat is still there so it isn't unbearable.
That is the bad.
Things that are cool: First year of the C4. Crossfire injection is intact and operational (I know most people say the system is worthless but is isn't all that different from the notoriously simple and reliable TBI that GM used for years). You just don't see that many cars still running the crossfire anymore, which I like but I am a bit weird. The car only has 84k original miles. Clean title in hand. All the glass is in great shape. Transmission is automatic but it works perfectly and has been well maintained. Suspension is in good shape and the car feels solid. New battery. Original engine has forged pistons for much fun with boost or juice, just saying. All the lights work, and nothing feels cooler than switching on pop-up headlamps.
