Can you clarify "paint is beat"? Passively looking for one of these for kid #1 who will be driving in just over a year. I'm in CT so we are about 3 hours apart.
I don't ever seem to get messages on here but feel free to email me at loweguy1 at g mail dot com if you like and share whatever you can about it. Thanks.

Wow, is this car actually still for sale. Its been up for two weeks. Around here, $3k Prius sell super quickly.
Some opinions from me:
Beat paint: it wasn't until I bought one too in this color that I learned this color (burgundy) offered in only '04&'05 seems to wear the worst for clearcoat failure. It's not that big of a deal. It only seems to affect top panels like roof, hood and rear spoiler. A simple "fix" if you even require a fix at all is to apply white vinyl to those panels ala Mini Cooper. $50 and an afternoon in a shady work area should solve the "problem" Of course, at sub-$3k, function rules higher than fashion and it sounds to me that the car is functionally great.
$2,700 GRMer price is spectacular.
He replaced the brakes. Front factory brakes last 135k miles...really. If reasonably good pads were used, you'll get 100k out of aftermarket pads. I take this to mean you will never again need to replace from brake pads...great. Rear brakes are drum. Nothing special or technical, just old school drums. They will last about 200k. If they have not been done, they may need soon but simple, cheap and once done...done for life!
Driver's side wheel bearing has been done...great. Front bearing/hubs are a common problem on these. Again, there is nothing hybrid-special or unique about these hub/bearings just typical fwd stuff. $100 bearing and 2.5 book hours for replacement so if you have a shop do the job expect about $400. Again, any shop can do the job. Nothing technical. The worst part is that in rusty climates the hub can rust into place and a bench press is then the right way to get the hub out of the knuckle.
Radio replaced w/bluetooth. This is one of the nicest things you can do to the car to make it a touch more "modern"...great!
He mentions his new Prius has rear camera. Yeah, rear camera wasn't offered on these until '06. IF, you get the right aftermarket radio, some offer an aftermarket rear camera option.

Actually, is your Prius a 2006?
You have 2006+ fenders (which have a hybrid badge on them, earlier years did not.)
You have 2006+ tail lamps (earlier years were smoked colored for the top section.)
You have a 2006+ dashboard (as evident at the at the dashboard dimmer location and I think the nicer crinkle finish to the palstics.)
You have 2006+ seats (as evident by a slight fabric change, early models had centers in one pattern and bolsters in another pattern.)
If 2006 then the car is bright red, not burgundy red (pictures can be deceiving.)
For the buyer, 2006+ got some minor updates but all those combined together make a nicer, more desirable car. As for the rear camera, though offered in '06+, it was optional so the base, base model did not get it. If this is a base, base model, one nice issue there is you then don't have HID headlamps, just old school halogens. Though HIDs sound cool, at this age, ballasts burning out are becoming a problem. At base, base, you won't have that problem!
Great price. Have a FIL in need of a commuter I've been trying to steer towards a Prius, but this one is likely too far away. Also surprised it's still not sold!
My Prius Buyers Guide for those shopping
Surprised this hasn't sold but I'm guessing maybe he just didn't update the CL post/this thread. Solid deal.

Looks Red (not burgundy) on my phone.
Just four weeks ago, I sold an '07 Prius (in worse condition than this one but with 203k miles) here in the Indy area for $4,000. This is a very good deal.
Title says 05. VIN says 05. I am also surprised it is still here. Not a good time to sell maybe. Had 3 people who actually showed up, and 200 views on FB. I think 6 months ago it would have gone for 3500. If Loweguy doesn't bite I will probably drop the ads and repost in April. The bite is it runs better and gets better mpg than the 08 but the 08 has ABS pump code and while it drives fine it will not sell that way. And the 08 just looks better.

I've been loosely looking for one as well but my timeline is a bit far out. Consider me possibly 2nd in line if Loweguy doesn't bite.
Randy has been fabulous at providing information and the car is an absolute bargain. However it doesn't turn out to be the right car for our needs after discussing it with my daughter and wife. Anybody even passively looking at this car should jump all over it.

@Porschenut, mind sending me a DM with any info you could provide?
Mrs Panther said sh would like to sell miss Nancy to get that. So put me in line.
Or, I'll trade ya a CLEAN 94 Buick Roadmaster sedan
Edit: is there an actual line, at the moment?
I know the Buick would sell quick in Detroit, and have a friend there to handle the sale, and I think we have enough to buy it, knowing the Buick will sell.

No, but so far the response from this post has been minimal. You can message me and we will talk.
