I seem to remember a guy in Florida that was posting either here or on another forum, about a closed cockpit car he was trying to build. He was marketing it as the next "spec class" for SCCA and NASA. I can't recall the particulars, but it was a good read as people were tearing him apart for what he was putting together. I wonder if this is one of his creations? I thought I remember him using Miata suspension bits and a motorcycle engine? Anyone recall the thread that I'm attempting to describe????

I'm sure it is an amazing performing car but that front reminds me of someone.
Says it was built in South America? Also, it uses a 4AGE so I thought maybe it utilized a Formula Atlantic engine? Nope, looks like a standard 4AGE from the valve covers. The ad states that i uses a MR2 transmission as well, which makes sense with the transverse position. Aside from the carbs it looks like an AW11 drivetrain.

Yes I remember the name as well, from either here or the Locost site. It was a pretty ambitious undertaking, maybe a bit presumptuous, considering how difficult it is to succeed in the kit car/race car market. Apparently it's based upon a Toyota-produced chassis and they just created their own shell. Like one of the comments mentioned, it's surprising that they (or Toyota) would remove the EFI, replacing it with carbs. Maybe it was a series rule.
Wow thats neat!! Seeing cars like this for sale gives me the sads about being tall and fat.
It's only $2600 right now, I wonder what it'll end up going for?
I also wonder about it's crash protection, homebrew vehicles can be very hit or miss for that.
