I think this will sell fast even with a missing title. I have inquired as to if the title has been lost or missing for a few owners, it makes a difference on how hard it is to get a new one.
Does anyone have a spare jeep title that I can have. I want this for the kids and I to play with.
Years ago I sold a CJ3 to GRM user "singleslammer". He's still active here, no idea if he still owns it or could work something out with you on paperwork.

Yeah, that’ll go quick at that price.
It does have a title, it's just not in his hands yet. A friend of a friend has it.
I'm giving it until Friday to sell then I'm going to look at it.
Something is not right about that lower windshield.
Something is very weird about that windshield. The body lines from the a pillar back are all wrong. No where near stock and desirable.
As a woods toy. Yeah sure. But no value there for a collector.
I'm thinking twin 13 year old boy project and woods buggy, plus the woods are 25 minutes from the dunes and three minutes from the beach.

There's something very wrong with that whole body. None of it is right, it is too wide, especially at the cowl and the fenders are molded into the rest of it.
This is what a Flatty is supposed to look like-
That would be a hard pass for me, as the entire thing is a cobbled mess.
I think that may have have started life as a DJ3.
Or something. The whole thing is wonky, but the fact that is has a full soft top is extra puzzling.
The ad states it was going to be converted to military, but customization took that off the table.
That thing looks like it's made of plywood.
Actually, I'm going to stick with some version of DJ3, converted to four wheel drive. I think the door was chopped and welded in.
In reply to Woody :
maybe you're on to something.. It's a mutt for sure.. the front shackles are the c shaped early CJ2 ones, not the ones used on later jeeps, but the rest of hte body is so many shades of wrong.. The thing that is throwing me off is the dogleg on the front fender, the weird rail on the back of the tub around the top edge(looks like square tubing welded there?) and the hideous tailgate situation... Also the windshield hinges.... GEEEEZZZZ Someone put a lot of work into this "custom"
The DJ had a gas tank in the rear I believe and the CJ2 had an underseat gas tank... the one for sale has, atleast, I think.. the underseat drivers tank.
In reply to Fueled by Caffeine :
If the door was in fact chopped and welded, the dogleg may have been brought out to meet the front edge of the former door. This thing was probably pretty rusty at one point.
I think the rear fenders are probably patch panels laid directly over the original body.
I'm just posting all four photos here for when the ad disappears.
Maybe it was a DJ body dropped over a 2A frame.

I'm thinking this... body got rusty.. replaced with whatever they had...
I don't think that a magnet would stick to most of that thing.
In reply to Fueled by Caffeine :
I think it's a home made body with a Willys hood. I always thought that would be kind of fun and simple to build. The fuel filler is wrong and the windshield hinges from just below the glass instead of at the cowl, and there are two vents instead of one or none depending on what you compare it to.
There was also a fake Willys kit that went on a Toyota frame of some kind at one time. Could be that. But either way it looks cheap, rust free and fun.
The owner sent me a video of it running with all four tires off the ground and spinning. It does have the correct engine, the rest is custom. I like that it has a soft top and appears solid. He may get a low offer for reasons stated above.

There's a lot of "it's not original or authentic" talk in here, but for what you said want it for, I'd GO FOR IT. (of course that's dependent upon you actually seeing it in person and verifying that it's not FUBARED with hidden "death trap" mods.)

It has nothing to do with originality nor authenticity.
It's like buying a Miata made of plywood. When the body is that poorly done, you can guarantee the the rest of it is a nightmare, as well. All that has any chance of being decent is the the drivetrain and frame, and quite frankly, these are the least desirable parts or a Flatfender. The engine is weak, the axles are difficult to get parts for, the Ross cam and lever steering setup is a Rube Goldberg nightmare, and the frames are almost all cracked and booger welded, especially up front, where this one has some sort of "winch mount/ frame condom" extending the frame and effectively hiding any damage.
There are FAR Better Jeep deals out there. This one is a nightmare that I wouln't touch for $800.
In reply to Cooter :
Thanks for the reality check, I just really like old stuff. Probably better off just getting them a dirt bike or quad.
How much for the Jeep in your driveway, I do have a welder?
