Early K car 4 doors and wagons did something similar, but with "vent windows" in the doors.

Hot Wheels says it can look cool; box flares,duck tail, chin spoiler and a hood scoop.

That's a beautiful fastback! Not my favorite at the time, but at least it had nice lines, unlike that monstrosity GM tried on the G-bodys. Thought it was fugly at the time, and hasn't aged well either! I had actually forgotten about them... I hope I can again
