Seller's Description

So a lot to list here but back story is I run a Miata specialty shop and bought this to build and I have had a blast with it the last few months but have many more fun projects in the works and am testing the waters. I’m not in any hurry to sell so please no ridiculous offers. Now that that’s said here are the specs. ->Engine is a 2001 bottom end with 14k miles and 97 head decked over 36 thousandths and valves have been cleaned up with vvt cams and intake exhaust cam swap it’s a heavy cam and really pulls all the way to up to 8k rpms. ->Suspension is BC BR coilovers on V8 roadster control arms and bushings. ->Driveline is a 6 speed to a 4:10 Torsen type 2 -> also I have many sets of wheels. The wheels that are on it currently are Avanti Storm S1s 15x9 +35 with bf Goodrich rival s 1.5s. The other sets are MSM 17x8 racing heart wheels with rival s 1.5s tires as well. I also have several sets of stock Miata wheels with Hoosiers and other stuff https://youtu.be/WVb6RG2qiKQ

Neat ride.  Seems a bit spendy to me but maybe that's what the market is.

Exocet Sport frame is $7500, plus Miata and all work done, if done right, seems like a fair deal from what I've seen them offered for in the past.

Already street legal adds non-negliable value to exocets. Some states it's kinda hard, some states it's kinda easy - no one wants to do it if they don't have to.

his main complaint is that his miata kart is less than 1/3rd to insure.

I've ridden in the exocet and man is it an experience.

He also has competed in at least 1 $20XX challenge with the aforementioned miata kart.

I'm in Asheville and was unaware there is a specialty Miata shop here. I'd love to swing by some time.

Its Mountain Automotive Promotions, Its in Burnsville.  He is also the Autocross Chair for HSCC iirc.  google gives the wrong location on maps but the right address its 88 Russell Rd, Burnsville, NC 28714.  I dont think he is letting people stop by atm cause of covid.

In reply to MrChaos :

Cool, thanks! I haven't been able to get out to the HSCC events yet but I am planning on going to the next few. I'll look for him there.

I was replying to KyAllroad's comment about the price, being road legal adds value to exocets (and any kit-car). Miata karts are legally gray at best, most insurance will not cover your claim if they see your "miata" in miata-kart state for the same reason exocet's insurance rates are higher. I own a street legal exocet (1.6 rotrex) and a pair of miata.
