Saw one four wheeling once with a 302 in it.  It would climb trees but couldn't go on highways.

I have not driven one, but from what I understand it's basically a beefed-up CJ-5 frame with stoppie ability.  So you're basically driving a CJ while sitting on the front bumper.

I can't imagine they're particularly enjoyable to drive on the highway, but I want one as an around-town errand runner.

Yep. Still got leftover disappointment from when I was like eleven and my dad bought another mid-'60s F-250 instead of one of these.

I think I say that every time one comes up, but it's true every time, too... I need a Unimog to take my mind off of it.

Oh man that's great. The girlfriend's grandpa has two FC jeeps sitting on his property in CA (one's even inside!) and allegedly one more in TN. That ad makes me want to buy them from him and roll my own camper. 

Pretty sure there are bodies in the back of that thing.
