I mean, I'd be real tempted to try! This should be a 4l80 and the v12 is a 6.0L I think. As long as it's not knocking or something this would be a great donor.
Oh I might be wrong - it sounds like this also may be one of the only US 1996 cars available WITHOUT OBDII.
Holy moly. From wikipedia.
The X305 was equipped with an On-Board Diagnostics System. However, it failed to fully meet the OBD-II specifications, which became mandatory for the 1996 model year in the US. With a special dispensation for that model year expired, no 1997 model year X305 models were sold in North America. In 2001, the United States EPA and Jaguar Cars entered into a settlement which extended the emissions warranty on 1995 and 1996 model year XJ12 sedans to 14 years or 150,000 miles, due to their non-compliant NipponDenso Engine Management System, which was unable to provide continuous misfire monitoring, a requirement for OBDII compliance.[9]

Oh, that should have a limited slip differential. Right?
Elevensies, instead of onesies would be nice!

Except those don't have distributors. Every thing after 1992.

Thank you Robbie. If I get it would you want the wheels on it? They are yours as a finders fee.

Oh thank you! Hope you do get it and that it works out if it's what you want.
Unfortunately, I'll probably decline as I don't love that design.

Might be the joke

Well, now those I would be interested in!!
Jeff and I went down to Oronoco which is a small town north of Rochester to buy it last Saturday. We did a lot of hunting, found the address of the owner but that was 9 years out of date. Got a old phone number that wasn't right. And spent a great deal of time running up and down the few streets to see if we could find it.
No luck.
Then Wednesday I got a good number but it was pretty late. So I called Thursday and he had sold it that morning.
Apparently the reason it wouldn't run is due to the fuel pump fuse burnt out. The buyer replaced the fuse, it started right up and he drove it home before I got there.
Sorry
