I don't want to do this but I also don't need two tow rigs and recently bought another, bigger, one. I have a bit of an attachment to this truck and want to see it go to a good home, it's perfect for towing a reasonably sized car on an open trailer.
$2500 or trade for an RX8 or MR2 (or, if I'm honest, probably lots of other weird things.)
This is Chief- it's a 1998 Yukon 4x4 SLT ex-fire department truck turned rally service rig. Maintained by a fire department somewhere in rurual PA from 0-90k miles, then by me from 90k-165k. I trust this thing to get me almost anywhere, and will drive it to you if you have a trade or want to fly me home.
5.7L Vortec, 4L60E with about 30k miles since a rebuild with upgraded sunshell and other internals as well as a big trans cooler, pushbutton 4wd works well, G80 locking diff functions well enough to get most places in 2wd anyway, 3" exhaust with Flowmaster and some sort of resonator sounds awesome. Dual batteries, roof rack with tire mounts, bigass Hella rally lights, directional work lights, strobes, brake controller, hitch, super bright interior cargo lights. I'm sure there's other neat stuff I'm forgetting.
The truck does occasionally have a check engine light for a misfire crop up, but it goes away again eventually so I have left it alone. AC functions when charged but will leak out eventually, most likely through the condenser.
