They are also famous for the Teflon o-ring at the bottom of the cylinder sleeves failing and the sleeves dropping.

And the filter for the oil passage to the head plugging up, causing the camshaft to seize with disastrous results.
And corrosion sensitive wiring.
Even when they were new, road tests said that you knew when they went into boost because the engine would detonate like a machine gun. And they had fuel starvation issues in corners, which is another thing turbocharged engines love.
