Wow. I bid $100 but only if the wheels are included and there's a full set.

I'm almost tempted. My MGuar is going to look somewhat like that except it's going to have a V12 with a roots blower and a Holley 1200 Dominator out the top.

Is it bad that I want the wheels more than the body?

I have no clue, but I kinda want to stick the entire mess on a Miata chassis exactly as it sits & drive it around like this.

Wow.  That’s $99 more than I would give.

I'd give $100 for it.

everyone should offer the guy $25 so Stampie's offer is more attractive to him so I can get it when Stampie decides he doesn't need it in a couple years

I just messaged & asked if it has a frame(it looks like it might in the pics) and if there’s all-4 wheels. If you’re (un)lucky Stampie night grow tired of it before the Challenge next year & you could take it home then.

My WAG: an old, never built and very faded MG TD conversion kit designed to go on a VW Bug pan.

The seller just replied:

”MG miget fiberglass, has a hand built frame nothing else”

”Looking for a $1000 take 800 today, will put on S10 frame next year, soon.”

I presume he meant TD instead of Midget, and I’d guess the frame is likely scrap without verifying otherwise.

Technically the MGT series are all called Midgets.

Those are called MiGi's.  Fiberglas kit car version to go on a VW chassis.
My intention is to make the body out of hand rolled aluminum  while the fenders would be cycle fenders  made out of carbon fiber.
But something like that might cause me to slap together a challenge car powered by one of my spare V12's. Yes even I can be impulsive.

As I recall, there was also a "kit" to attach/bond to a Spridget. I seem to recall it was necessary to cut off 1/3 or so of the Spridget body.

There were also some kits to use Chevette mechanicals in a front engine configuration. The Spridget thing was called Arkley and is more of a botched Morgan than a botched MG TD.

Since it's about 1000 miles away from me I won't be a buyer at any price. But if located near me my buy price would be $300.

Looking at it close tonight it looks to me like a TD replica.

When did “kit cars” become synonymous with “barn find”?

Calling it a kit car doesn’t change the fact that it is a worthless steaming pile!

Don't look too close. If you do you'll see that it's designed to fit on a VW chassis and thus altered significantly.
They were called MiGi's and sold at restored MGTD prices to silly fools.

The Arkley was actually a well made kit and most of them turned out nice.
