"Possible engine bearing" isn't super reassuring, but that's ~$500+ in Style 32 wheels, plus the M-sport interior, plus 6 speed swap in parts would probably cover fees pretty easily. Or, find another engine and do maintenance outside of the car and quick-swap it in.
Its probably the timing chain guides. Pretty common for 150k+ M62 engine.
Not an easy fix but is fixable
I have the timing chain tool kit. It wasn't *that* bad...
If that was in my neighborhood, I'd totally buy it. Dash pic shows engine running, only a couple missing pixels, and no warning lights.
Man, I used to want one of those *SO*BAD*. They're not what they used to be since every v6 Camry and minivan is faster, but having a stick shift is so cool in a big sedan. I've got two kids now, though, so sedans aren't too useful for me. Using this as a 6-speed swap donor for a wagon would be choice, though!
