I know this car extremely well, despite never having owned it. It's actually the same protege I almost bought in lieu of my ill-fated mini cooper. My friend Jay bought it back in 2007 from walser Mazda. He has owned it and tinkered with it for 12 years now. I always swore that if it came up for sale, I wanted first in line. Alas, I haven't quite recovered from my divorce and move to Florida, and well- we are trying to buy a house. I cant really afford to buy it right now, but I will vouch for every single thing that's ever happened with this car. It was one of the best fwd cars I have ever driven, and that's when it was stock. I would argue that this is an extremely good price for this car given how well it has been cared for. I really want someone that will enjoy it to own it- it's too good to send down cheap turbo car hell.
