Knowing where Flushing is and seeing an Alfa in your life, have you ever crossed paths with Roman Tucker over in the Lapeer/Attica area?
This is one of my all-time favorite cars. I lived next door to the Dowd family and have put many miles on this car. It must have been the car of the future when new as it drives like something much more modern. One day Chris and I were driving home from Waterford hills racetrack and a small thunderstorm began to rain upon us. We drove two or three miles through the rain with the top down. I stayed dry as I was behind the windshield. Chris is much taller than me his head was getting wet from about the eyebrows up. We pull off to the side of the road put the top up getting soaked in the process. We drove about another half mile and erupted into the bright blue Sunny sky without rain. I will really miss this car it has always been one of my favorites
Star car (or close enough) of "Il Sorpasso". Had to watch that one for a neo-realism film class in college.
He restores Alfas and vintage races a GTA that was run in Trans-Am by Lee Midgley. I've helped him over the years at the track and when he brought a few cars down to Amelia Island Concours. A few of the cars shown in the link below are owned by various friends of mine.

If you have any other Alfas, he is the guy. And he's in your back yard.
We did have work done at trail auto in Dearborn that seemed to in with the Alfa club back in the day. I wish knew about him as I learned a lot on my own over the years.
If anybody wants a third party inspection I can get you in contact with him. He has done other Alfas besides GTA's. There was a Giulia similar to yours that was stunning.
