I'm not sure about the exact price since both $1000 and $10,000 are both mentioned, but I'd thought I'd share anyway. Hopefully, someone can put it to good use.

They're also rather carefully glossing over this car being an SR5.
It actually popped up on my Facebook "here's stuff you should buy" feed this morning and I was getting mildly excited until I looked closer.
ez...
step 1: buy 2500 dollar g35
step 2: trade for overpriced japanese cartoon car
step 3: ??????
step 4: drift king time

Heh, that reminds me of one of the Best Motoring videos where the Drift King gets his old AE86 out on the Touge and explains to the much younger female co-host something like:
"Yeah, bought this car for something like $2500, and then we put another 30k-40k into it" (I don't remember the exact Yen figures, but that's roughly what it translated to).

Great car... in fact awesome car.
DK def has his way with the cat girls.. some of his interactions with them are still maybe the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life.
I would love to own an 86 purely based off the Best Motoring episodes.. seen everyone including the one you are referencing.
I think that amount of money put into was because it was almost a demo car of sorts because he did have his own tuning company.. not sure if he still does now or not
I love the older Best Motoring International the best. Also the AE86 challenge they run on good ol tsukuba is one of my all time favs.
Long story short I fell in love with these cars solely based on the common occurrence of them appearing on the touge challenge from DK himself as well as contestants.
In fact I only base my car buying purchases off the touge segments with sector times. The 2nd gen Honda Fit is like insanely quick.
Fun fact: He just recently replaced his 86 with a Subaru/Toyota 86 according to his new youtube vlog.

Unless he also has his own YouTube channel, search for the "Best Motoring Official" channel.
You'll need to log in to post.
