This appears to be a Lotus Seven but without going over and seeing it with my own eyes there's no way of knowing. I get that a 1960 Lotus is pretty classic and asking 9 grand for one without an engine is probably within the ballpark but you would think that removing the tree, running a leaf blower over it followed by a little wash might improve the curb appeal.
Since I'm about 10 miles from the apparent location, I may head over and take a look. Just lookin' mind you...

You can't wash the dirt and leaves off, they're structural now.
Add inflation to the cost of a free Lotus ...
Looks like he cut the tree branches in front of it to take the picture !
Did a Lotus Super 7 have a wood frame like a Morgan ?
9 freaking grand for that? Are they high, or am I?
There is a 914 on CL sitting in the middle of a field, rockers laying in the dirt. $9K, apparently they went thru some legal thing to get the title. Been on for almost a year, I don't have the heart to tell them to take 2 zeros off the number and repost.

A lot of money for a car that's going to need a new spaceframe.

Yes, feel sorry for it. leaving a 914 in the dirt should be a crime
The seller also has a basket-case bugeye Sprite for $6500. Maybe you can get a package deal for $14k? 😂

No, it's steel. Brazed, I think. But definitely steel. In fact, there's not much else to it.
But it's British steel, so it likes to rust.
So... basically $9K for a pink slip (title?), a VIN plate, some possibly restorable fiberglass and a basic template for a frame. Once restored how much of it will be original? Worth it? I don't know enough about vintage Seven values to say...

Actually, she has a pair of Bugeyes. One's a right hand drive with a hardtop:

And the other is an incredible pile of parts:

My WAG is she is trying to liquidate an estate...
For that amount of money the sale had better include the deed to the land underneath the junk.
if it is in San Jose , California , the property is worth over a Million bucks even in a bad part of town........
Next person that owns the property owns a bulldozer too !
Either someone is getting bad pricing advice, or has a non-working decimal point on their keyboard.

Well she did sell a 33 ford pickup for $10K. Not sure if that was a deal or not but it does seem high. At least it had tires that appeared to hold air.
I had those tires on my Subaru in high school.
How awful as that is the real deal Lotus 7 !

I had those tires on my second Morris Minor and my first Alfa Romeo in high school, too.
