I don't think so. It's an import, so probably related to getting it titled in California.
Not that surprising a price. Not even close to top dollar for an E34 M5 touring. Only 891 were made worldwide and they were never sold here. Awesome cars, but their rarity has really driven the prices up for what you get. You can reproduce the experience and more for much less.
For those of you lusting over this car, while your eyes water from the price, go find yourself a ho-hum 525 or 530i touring. Swap in an S50 if you have the straight six car, or M62B44 if you pick up the small displacement V8. They are really wonderful cars
