Not a bad price for a crusty ES these days.  Especially one that appears to be mostly complete. Needs a lot of work and I'm guessing the frame sections of the uni-body are shot as well, but none of it appears to be out of ordinary and sheet metal is available.   Would have a 2.0L engine, rather than a 1.8L, but a lot of folks get that wrong.

Even with what little I know about rust, that is a parts car.

I've seen worse restored.  Not saying it cost-effective, but it's not uncommon.  Especially if the car gets sold to someone in Europe with access to some of the eastern restoration shops.  

Plus, as I've pondered for years... a car like this is a good "blank slate" if a builder wants something different than a stock car.  A race car is another option since the metal work just needs to be solid rather than pretty and a lot of the parts could be sold off to offset costs.
