Parts bin mopar 4 banger and 5 speed from a old dakota.
GT Cruiser turbo 2.4. attached to the aforementioned Dakota trans.
Pfft. Hellephant swap, duh.
Seriously though, that thing is super cool.
Ooof, talk about memories. Dad had an '81 manual when I was 17. In the beautiful tan color...... That little thing had a ton of grunt with 2.6l 4 cylinder.

4G63t would be the easiest swap, maybe not the smartest.
Turbo Starquest motor would bolt right in...
6g75 or bust.
I never noticed one of those , they would just blend in the background with all the other japanese cars at the time ,
Cool car for someone if its not rusty .....
It would be an interesting starting point for a CAM-T build. I like the idea of a 4G63 motor in it.
For Cam, how much Mitsu Evo can you slide under that Plymouth badge?

Evo's are transverse motors and AWD so the build would be some heavy lifting. But given how open the rulebook is in CAM, you might be able to get away with it. It'd probably only cost $30K or so to win a jacket and a plastic trophy.
