Why are there so many cars for sale with no motor on Facebook Marketplace? Is there big money to be made buying old cars and selling the motors out of them? You don't even anything to rebuild or any clue as to what might have been an there. A car without an engine is just a nice hole to dump money into. Sure you could swap something else into it but that is a lot of work to figure something like that out.

$1,000 is way too much. They should pay you for hauling it off and you would still be better off paying $5,000 for one that has a motor and runs.

I'm baffled by the large number of vehicles (cars/trucks/motorcycle) without titles on marketplace.

FBM seems to attract the type who will risk completely devaluing a $5000 car just to avoid paying $200 in transfer taxes.

"May be able to find title signed by previous previous owner."

I can do a bonded title on a car. All it takes is time and money. Plus if the car is on a stolen list you can lose 100% of the investment.

A car with no motor and no title is a lot of work and money.

I'm still surprised that these are $5k cars . I have 2 82's that have been sitting for the last 10 years. Back then, (other than the 3TCforum guys,) nobody knew what a TE72 was.

I wonder how long it'll take for the drift scene to figure out pickups go sideways too.
