On carsandbids.com the auction opens Thursday October 29th and ends Thursday November 5th.
I'm nervous about it but also excited its finally going to go to another enthusiast.

Oh hi! you are not who I thought you were(re: my comment on cars and bids). Nice bid! Thank you!

LOL! Gotta start somewhere. I was gonna throw down $10k but figured I'd toss in a starting bid then watch the auction and make my final bid towards the end...

Where does one buy a road and track in 2020 without subscribing?
In reply to pinchvalve (Forum Supporter) :
No I have not. Heading to the mall today. May go by the bookstore and see if that's available.

I asked that just before I bought the magazine so it would be easier to find. So yeah, wow. I ingested the unit about The Godfather and for a moment I was canceling the auction but I am not. It's time for it to move on. Every bit of prose in that article is what I have been trying to articulate for ten years. So glad they wrote it. I have thought since the first day I got it that everyone should own an e28 M5. It's not enough to drive it just once. Thank you for pointing it out to me. Now I've got to go through my couch cushions to find enough scratch for a 289 Cobra.

Had the same thought about the 289. And then started thinking about how to achieve a similar result for reasonable money. A V8 Miata seems like the most logical option I suppose.

Agreed. It is always the answer. I might have mentioned the issue and article in the comments section of my auction.
