This 1982 Mustang GT started as a rust free Texas car, with T-Tops, that underwent an extensive restoration which included stripping the entire car down to bare metal inside and out and replacing the stock 158 hp 5.0 engine with a 500+ hp 410 cid Windsor. The car was reassembled using top of the line aftermarket parts in excess of $38,000.

Engine: 351W block bored and stroked to 410 cid. Ross custom pistons. SCAT 4340 non-twist forged steel crank and 6.25” light weight 4340 I-Beam rods. Comp Cams XE284 camshaft. Edelbrock Air-Gap intake. McLeod kevlar clutch assembly and flywheel. Canton Racing Products rear sump road race oil pan. Race ported and polished heads with Manley pro-flow stainless steel race valves; Comp Cams Pro-magnum roller rockers; Comp Cams springs and steel retainers with 10 degree super locks. Custom built 3-core copper-brass radiator with 2 electric fans and a Summit Racing flex fan keep this car running cool.

Drivetrain: Tremec T5-Z transmission. 4” aluminum driveshaft with 1350 HD yokes. Currie Enterprises 9+ heavy duty race gear case. 31 spline Tru-trac differential with 3.70 gears. Currie performance axle package (5 lug conversion).

Suspension: Baer brake systems; drilled and slotted rotors - 13” front, 12” back. Baer bump steer kit. Adjustable castor / camber plates. Quick ratio steering rack. Ford Motorsport front lower control arms. Eibach Sport Line Suspension system. Welded subframe connectors and battle boxes. Polished 17 x 9.5 Eagle Cobra R style wheels with 235/45R17 ZR and 245/45R17 ZR Yokahama AVS tires.

Interior: New dash pad. New weather stripping - doors, t-tops, hatch. New carpet. New console pad. Corbeau GTS II microsuede seats. Custom built aluminum dash with Auto Meter gauges. Premier Pioneer stereo with two 140 wt 5x7 speakers and two 80 wt 3” speakers.

Paint: Custom blend Sikkens course metallic silver.

This resto-mod Mustang has finished first in its class in every international and regional Mustang car show it has been entered in - 7 to date.

This car would make an excellent track car - has all the right parts for road racing or Solo I or II. Or, drive it to your favorite shows; it is not a trailer queen and is dead reliable.
