Hey all, it's come time to part with my 1991 Miata that I've had for a few years now. There's been a lot done to the car, but new job responsibilities mean I need something a bit more (ahem) civilized and comfortable for longer trips. I swapped in a built low-compression ratio 1.6L (shortnose boo!) that's running a Nissan T25 turbo with Megasquirt II. Virtual dyno has the car at 154hp/139tq at the wheels on 7psi boost. That turbo is capable of 13psi so there is room to add power. The car also has a Flyin' Miata clutch and flywheel, Torsen LSD, Eibach springs on Koni shocks, and 205/50 Nitto NT05 tires on 15x6.5 Rota wheels. The car only has 61,000 miles, and I doubt it's ever been driven during the winter.
Overall I'd say the car is in very good condition, but it some have some minor issues and quirks. It definitely needs to be tuned better, as cold starts are poor and initial tip-in of the throttle has a momentary stumble. There are a couple of chips in the paint on the trunk and the lip of the right front wheel well. The top is rough but generally watertight (with some gorilla tape patches). The airbag light blinks sometimes and the horn was deleted by the PO. The car is manual steering and the A/C was (mostly) deleted during the swap (the evaporator box remains in place).
I do have the car advertised on CL HERE but I'd rather see it go to a GRM'er so let me know.
