Posting on GRM first... 1990 Nissan 300ZX for sale.

Time to move my 300ZX on - I bought this car in July 2017 in Fredericksburg (outside of Austin) with 159k miles – it now has 184k. I believe I am the fifth owner. At the time I was looking for an unmodified 300ZX to use as a daily, and it has been a reliable and fun driver in the three years I've had it.

No accidents or rust except for a spot on the passenger-side t-top. Cosmetically there are a few dings around the body and the hood and front fenders have been repainted. The original front bumper was in bad shape so I replaced it – unfortunately the replacement is not a perfect fit (see photos) – would be best to source an OEM replacement.

Since my purchase I have performed quite a bit of maintenance to bring it up to reliable daily driver status, the most recent being replacement of the battery (January 2021). The front suspension has been rebuilt, OEM front brake calipers rebuilt w/ new rotors/pads/fluid, transmission fluid change, clutch replaced 2019 (lightweight flywheel installed at this time), Z1 bronze shifter bushing, A/C blower motor fan replaced 2019, and more.

There are a few issues – the head unit (aftermarket installed by PO) works, but the buttons are finicky. Passenger window squeaks. When standing outside the car you can see where the dashboard is lifting near the top vent. For GRMers: there is wheel hop at corner exit when driving aggressively. Someone may never notice it driving normally or even spiritedly, but anyone who wants to track the car or drive aggressively will need to address the rear suspension bushings/diff mounts. For this reason I never autocrossed/tracked the car.

Other issues:

-windshield washer light illuminated

-brake warning light illuminates when pedal is depressed even though brake lights work fine

-turn signals do not self-cancel

-Driver's door lock doesn't work from outside

-Cruise control buttons on steering wheel are broken

Overall, car is a blast to drive and would make a reliable driver. Enjoyable grip with the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires, too.

Includes owner's manual, service records, factory scissor jack, and T-top storage bags & sunshades.

I think these are the best looking of the 90s Japanese sport cars. I've always wanted one.
