1990 Volkswagen Transporter DOKA SYNCRO CAMPER ...with a 5 spd!
I was looking at the ad thinking how cool this is... and then I saw the asking price and nearly fell out of my chair.

There's no way I'd pay that, but would a non crack pipe price be for this? I could see it still being pretty high.
It's so wierd that I can't bring myself to hate it. If I had something to use it for I might even want it.
I guess if you really want one in that condition, where are you going to find another one?
I'm not far away if anyone wants me to inspect it.
I love it! The asking price just has one two many zeros... My down the street neighbors have a pristine early 80s vw camper, and an 82 Landcruiser. Both super cool vehics, but neither ever gets dirty. Seems like a misuse of them both, but guess some people are reluctant to put big $$$ at risk, given where prices have gone on these.
I could see it going for half that. That thing doesn't even look like it gets used for it's intended purposes.
The link won't load for me, what is he asking?
I sold a rabbit to a guy who showed up with one of those to tow it home. He had imported it from Germany for a decent price and swapped a 1.9tdi into it, it was a really cool trucklet.
Edit: it loaded and I think he will get 55/60k for it.
Nice VW campers of any vintage are crazy money, 4x4, double cab, and pickup in general (that were more or less not imported after 1963 on account of chicken tax bullE36 M3) are all value multipliers. So this might not be that far out of whack, in the sense that somebody will pay the seller nearly that much for it soon enough.
