It says shell, but looks like there may be a motor in there. Not a bad price considering how much these run nowadays.
I'm not far if anyone needs eyes.

That looks like an 1986 or newer based on the air conditionng set up. Up to 1985 the smaller unit that was only over the front seats. The later units work better but the plastic gets brittle and the ducts start to fall off the roof. You can see tge expandable pole holding up the duct in the picture above
Also the rear seat that folds into the bed was more common on 1985+ vanagon, but was an option on earlier vanagons
it does have a pre 1986 grill installed right now.

That's an 84-85 grille, it's got the lower one for the watercooled van. 1986 or newer is more important than a lot of people think, you could probably sell the front spindles for 15% of the asking price of the van.
I hear a Subaru swap is the path to greatness for those if you ever want to travel more than flat land
Trying very hard not to contact the seller. Keep telling myself that there simply isn't a scenario which calls for another undriveable project in the driveway at this time.
I didn't realize Space Coast was an actusl region of Florida. I mean, it makes sense, and it's awesome.
Looking at it again, I am 99% certain that it is a 1986 or newer van, the windshield washer nozzle on the drivers side was moved towards the center of the windshield in 1986 or 87. There is always possibility that the lower windshield panel was replaced, but not likely based on the rest of the van.
Surprisingly the van looks fairly rust free, but its a bit tough to tell since the pictures are pretty terrible. Even if solid, expect a huge amount of work to get it back on the road.
