No, they do use a different color scheme, so if you are used to US or later British wiring, it doesn't make a lot of sense. Brown is 12v supply, and yellow is switched 12 v supply. You can guess what happens when brown wires get old and the color fades, and yellow wires get heat damage and oil coated...

Lol. Creates an interesting aroma. I love the DS too, but out of boredom began watching a video on engine removal. I think I could restore a beetle faster
Well yes, but at the end of the restoration you're stuck with a bug. The DS was a car from a future the rest of the world never got to have. In 1955, the Citroen was a spaceship. In 1955, the beetle was a 17 year old design already...
Edit: forgot to put in a winking smiley to convey a rueful bit of sarcasm. The DS was a fantastic design, and the suspension and brakes were unmatched. The engine however, and the transmission (4 on the column) made the beetle feel modern by comparison.

Don't get me wrong, I love the DS and completely agree. But live bugs as well. Both are among the greatest cars ever. I've hadxa bakers dozen of bugs. Hope to have a DS someday, although I'm 56, so time isn't on my side

I'd use that pair of front seats as living room furniture!
Those seats are worth a fortune. I kept a complete interior for my car and sold the 2nd set. Mine were all cracked up, here is what that first set from the driveway picture looks like in my car after cleaning and lots of hide food!
