This thing is sweet, IMO, and would go with my early 1900s house, but it's a tad beyond what I want to pay for a Halloween decoration. Nevertheless, beautiful piece.

There's one at my wife's grandmother's farm, I'm told it's still there. It's just a slab sided hearse, no filagree'.
Nice. You know, there are good deals on hearses and fire trucks on FB Marketplace - although they usually need work.
I was all in until I saw this.
That apostrophe knocks the value of the restoration down at least $100K for me.

I have a friend with at least two hearses right now, maybe more. Although at least one is to block traffic from hitting his house. (He's had people run into it twice.)

Does one of them at least have a body that rolls out when hit? That would really jar someone.
There was an affordable LaSalle hearse in Greenville, NC a few years back. The engine was gone, it was crusty, but it was pretty complete. I went about trying to find a truck and trailer that might have been able to tow it back to my house. When I contacted the seller, I found that a museum wired the money to the seller within two hours.
I then found ANOTHER LaSalle hearse, but it was pretty bad, and the price reflected that. Somebody still bought that out from under me.
So yes. Once I find one I can actually afford, I'll buy one. This one is a bit out of my price range.

Agreed - this one is a bit out of my price range, too. Maybe Margie's suggestion about a price reduction for the sign's grammar can help :-D
