No matter the venue and no matter the event, if you want to turn heads wherever you go, it’s hard to beat showing up with an old-school Formula 1 car.
This Ferrari 640 was previously driven–and owned–by driver Nigel Mansell, who scored wins with the car at the Brazilian and Hungarian Grand Prix.
Noted as the first Ferrari Formula 1 car equipped with a semi-automatic gearbox, the 640 reportedly hasn't been run since the 1989 Australian Grand Prix.
Find this 1989 Ferrari 640 available through RM Sotheby’s.
Show up at the local NASA lapping session: "You call that a track car? THIS is a track car"
I miss that era of F1. Such clean, flowing lines. No tack on nonsense.
That's a dead-sexy car. Look at the steering wheel! its just a wheel, probably no horn either!
Remember a time when old race cars were just that...
Not competitive any more, sell it off to fund the next generations !
east park,
I think you just have to blip the throttle, rather than Honk ;)
Coupefan,
Indeed, nice clean lines, and not all that witchcraft employed today , well ok maybe they we're working on a early version of that ground effect Spell.
