The perfect car to get your feet wet in vintage racing? You’ll probably want something small and relatively lightweight that comes with several spares and is backed by plenty of aftermarket support–in both hard parts and knowledge.

This MG Midget checks all those boxes.

Acquired by the seller in 2019, this MG has received several race-ready upgrades including a Kirkey driver seat, FireSense fire suppression system, AMB radio transponder, Hoosier TD R tires and an eight-gallon fuel cell.

Powering the car is a rebuilt A-series engine bored out to 1324cc and fitted with two Weber carbs, a Swiftune billet camshaft, JE flat-top pistons, Pauter connecting rods, 1.5-ratio rocker arms and an 11-stud “big valve” cylinder head.

Backing that powerplant is a four-speed gearbox that features a straight-cut close-ratio gearset, an aluminum flywheel and a Tilton clutch and pressure plate.

Also included in the sale? A spare engine and transmission, as well as a sizeable collection of spare parts.

Asking price is $12,000 OBO. You can contact the seller here.
