An old-school wagon with some added gusto? This 1979 Mercedes-Benz 500 TE was tuned by AMG. With that, of course, comes a major performance upgrade.
For example, take a look under the hood. It’s got a 5.2-liter M117 V8 taken from an S-class. It’s rated for 295 horsepower. Then there are all the other embellishments by AMG.
What makes this one special is that it’s believed to be the sole example with an AMG ID plate. Bonhams also notes that the car will require some recommissioning.
